Flashback Friday

This is one of my favorite pictures EVER...

Porter was about 5 weeks old and learning to hold his head up. {What a hard job that is for a tiny guy!} I get so excited thinking about watching Porter's little brother/sister {Side note- my prediction is sister. Then again, I called poor Porter a girl for the first half of my pregnancy. Oops!} learn to do all of these fun things! I truly count my blessings for being able to stay home and watch these fun things happen everyday. 

Thankful Thursday

What a great few weeks it's been around here lately! We've had so much going on that blogging has kind of been put on the back burner for a little while, so I'll try to catch you up in Thankful Thursday form.

Things I'm thankful for today...

~That tax season is OVER...whew!! That was a long one around here! Sean has been able to leave at 5:00 (as opposed to after bedtime) the past few days and we just aren't even quite sure what to do with our free time together! Greenway, here we come :)

~The 12 week old little miracle that's growing in my belly. Excitement just doesn't quite feel like an adequate adjective to describe how I feel about seeing our little family of 3 grow to a family of 4. The Lord is sovereign and knew the perfect time to bless us with our second little angel and for that I could not be more thankful.

~The WALKING, jumping, laughing, smiling little darling boy that melts my heart each and every day. Did I mention walking?! Yep, that's right! {I promise I'm working on getting a video, he's just too quick for me!}

~My mom and youngest sister that were so sweet to not only drive over here on Tuesday to play with Porter while Sean and I went to my 12 week check-up/ultrasound, but also surprise me with preparing 2 {delicious!} meals to get us through the week. (Have I mentioned this little bean is using all of mommy's energy to grow big and strong? It's a problem I'll gladly nap through ;) but the extra help sure is nice!)Family is a blessing that I just can't imagine our lives without.

Our BIG announcement...

I've never really been a great secret keeper {sorry to disappoint!} nor am I very patient, so keeping a secret for 8 weeks was NOT easy! But it's now time to share the wonderful, exciting, miraculous thing that's had us all buzzing around here...

Yes, that's right. Porter is going to be a BIG BROTHER!!! I am 12 weeks pregnant right now and due October 31st. We could not be more excited and are even more excited to finally be able to share our news with everyone! There will be plenty of belly pictures to come, but for now Porter is loving carrying around the pictures of his baby brother or sister :)

Summer preparation...

We have one little boy that is seriously ready for summer...

Bring on the popsicles and beach chairs!
