Porter turns 3

I don't know how it happened so fast, but today my tiny (not tiny, actually) firstborn turned 3. Talk about bringing tears to a mamas eyes! I am so proud of this hilarious, sometimes too smart, handsome, witty, precious boy! I don't know how I got lucky enough to be his mama, but I wouldn't trade a day of it!

Before I forget any details of this wonderful day, here goes...

We started the day off with a donut breakfast. Daddy went to get donuts and surprised Porter with his favorite kind, pink icing with sprinkles. We put a candle in it and sang happy birthday. He loved it! And savannah slept a little late this morning, so we got some special time with just him.

(Sissy got to have one when she woke up)

Then he opened a couple presents in mommy and daddy's room. These presents were a plastic goat, cow, and coloring book/markers. His reaction to his cow was "sweet sassafras that's just what I wanted!" We were rolling!! This kid is hilarious!

PopPop came over for a visit with the birthday boy and then we went to Sams and got cupcakes and met Daddy at OCharleys for lunch. The manager even brought him a special piece of pie that wasn't on the menu yet.

We came back home for naps. (Even 3 year olds need their happy time!) After nap, we went to Blue Sky for dinner with Aunt Jesse, Mimi, Papaw, and Ciara and came back home for cupcakes and the rest of his presents. His other presents were a Tball set, football, basketball, soccer ball, and craft supplies.

I think our sweet boy had a wonderful day! He finished the day snuggling in bed with mom and dad telling us all about the fun things he did that day. I hope that we can instill a true sense of joy and gratefulness in our children. I am so thankful for everyday that I am given to be my sweet babies' mommy! Happy Birthday my Porter! Mommy is so proud of you!
