Meeting baby brother
The morning after Sullivan was born, Porter and Savannah were beyond excited to come meet their baby brother (and see mama). They were so sweet and so proud! They came into the room with very quiet voices and walked right over to him. They touched and patted him before getting into the bed with me to hold him. Porter kept saying how "precious" he was. Savannah kept repeating "baby". She held him for a second and quickly became distracted with other things in the room. Porter spent more time holding and studying him. My favorite comment was "You're nice and safe buddy, it's me Porter." The big kids were very excited to show baby Sullivan the "happy birthday" hats they made for him. They also enjoyed opening their "big brother, big sister" surprise bags and seeing what treats they got. Since we've been home, the newness has yet to wear off and he is still one very loved little brother.
